Workshop One Photos

THEATRICAL SCENIC TECHNIQUES  Workshop One

These are some photos from this first workshop introduction to scenic techniques used on stage sets. They learned the mixing of paint, creating wood grain, brick and granite. All of these techniques can also be used for your home and other artistic creations.

Everyone had a blast and I so enjoyed teaching these techniques.

Workshop Two
(TEENS AND ADULTS)

Date TBA

This class will introduce students to the techniques used on stage sets. You will learn painting basic “forms” with lights and shadows; trompe l’oeil; and making patterns using stencils, templates and paint stamps. All of these techniques can also be used for your home and other artistic creations. Materials supplied. Students will take home their finished sample boards.

This class will introduce students to the techniques used on stage sets. Students will learn the mixing of paint, creating marble, stone and wood grain. All of these techniques can also be used for your home and other artistic creations. Materials supplied. Students will take home their finished sample boards.

Workshop Four
(TEENS AND ADULTS)

This class will introduce students to the techniques used on stage sets. Students will learn how to create faux Stained Glass. They have the opportunity to bring in their own designs. All of these techniques can also be used for your home and other artistic creations. Materials supplied. Students will take home their finished Stained Glass.

CREATING ART USING UNCONVENTIONAL MATERIALS
Two Sessions –  First: Building Canvas  Second: Finishing Paintings
(TEENS AND ADULTS)
Dates TBA

In this class we will be using some theatrical techniques to create fine art. Building your own paintings; using lumber, Styrofoam, muslin, spackle, etc. This workshop will be offered in 2 parts. First building the canvas and the second will be to finish them, using any medium desired.

RECYCLE DVD’s & CD’s
(TEENS AND ADULTS)

Date TBA

Turn your old, scratched, bad DVD’s & CD’s into fun fine art. Also using additional recycled items along with some store bought products; hot glue, plaster cloth and paint.
This workshop will have some materials on hand, but encourages students to bring some of their own.

Presented by the Women’s Caucus for Art, this exhibit displays striking images and bold compositions in contrasts of darks and lights.

Uniquely Sprung's Next Events

Mark your calendars for May 2nd and May 3rd. I will have my Uniquely Sprung Originals for sale at two fun events.


On Saturday, May 2nd starting at 12:00pm it’s the Grand opening of Rancho Tequila, 2198 Four Winds Blvd, Kissimmee, FL 34746. There will be plenty of entertainment, food and art. Along with lots of raffle prizes donated by the sponsors.

I’ll have a variety of art for sale. Originals, prints and wearable art (T-shirts, hats, jewelry).

If your into Green – I create one of a kind jewelry and disk art that is made by recycling Styrofoam and CD/DVD’s.

Then come out the next day and celebrate Israel turns 61!

Along with what I will have at Rancho Tequila, I will have my Judaica art for sale at Cranes Roost Park, Altamonte Springs, Fl for the Israel Independence Day 2009 celebration from 3:00pm – 8:00pm. Free Admission -- Open to the Public

This is the perfect opportunity to find something for yourself and your mom, since Mother’s day is a week later.

Where U can find Me

Friday Night Art Stroll of Baldwin Park

April 10, 2009 – Creative Spirit Art Gallery and the Harwood Watson Dance Studio will team with the Baldwin Park Merchants Association to present Art Stroll of Baldwin Park. The Art Stroll will start on New Broad Street downtown at 5pm, and end at the Creative Spirit Art Gallery, 820A Lake Baldwin Lane, Orlando at 9pm. The event is free and open to the public.

I will have, fun funky T-shirts, Jewelry, Art Disks, Digital and Oil paintings for sale. Come on out and watch me create some one of a kind art. All affordable, for you to wear or hang.


Then the following weekend you can find me at the Hispanic Art Expo.

New Class at MAC

Starting on March 25, 2009 at 4:30
I will begin my first and new class at The Maitland Art Center.



THEATRICAL SCENIC TECHNIQUES (TEENS AND ADULTS)
Wednesday: 4:30-6:30 STUDIO 4

This class will introduce students to the techniques used on stage sets. Students will learn the mixing of paint, creating wood grain, marble, brick and stone, painting basic “forms” with lights and shadows; trompe l’oeil; and making patterns using stencils, templates and paint stamps. All of these techniques can also be used for your home and other artistic creations. Material fee: $25.00 payable to instructor the first day of class.

Bonnie Sprung: BA, Hofstra University, Set Design and Graphics. AA, Valencia Community College, Fine Art. Set /Scenic /Make-up design for over 80 shows locally and in NY, since 1980. 11 years teaching Set /Scenic design for BCC Summer Fine Arts. Has shown her fine artwork in numerous exhibitions and has gotten several awards.

Bonnie’s Etsy Store

After hearing about Etsy in Dec. 2008, I finally got my store up and running. At the moment I just have a few things on the virtual walls, shelves and racks. WCAFL Member Show Winners

The Women's Caucus for Art Florida Chapter
announces the winners of their Exhibit at the Gallery at Metro.
This exhibit was curated by Bradd Biggs and Judged by Metro City Realty owner Jon Shehan. Shehan created gallery space in his Real Estate offices to support the Orlando Third Thursday Art Walk. Shehan explains " By being a host venue for art, we have met an amazing variety of artists, some of whom are now clients and friends. The visual arts is now an integral part of the downtown life style. " Shehan selected the following for awards:
